Just some stuff!

So, my blog hero The Pioneer Woman (see her blog here http://thepioneerwoman.com/)
says if you have a blog you must blog everyday. I was on a kick for awhile but I slacked off.
I will try to be better. Also, my friend Sally gets bored at work and they don't block my blog like they do Pioneer Woman's blog so I better kick it up a notch so Sally has some
entertainment!
The Pioneer Woman was in town yesterday for a book signing. I didn't go. I kind of wished I had but I again was a slacker. But I did read her book in one sitting.
Bought it at noon was done by 11pm. I also bought her cookbook (I had $65 in Borders gift cards that were burning a hole in my pocket.) So, I am going to have to whip up some of her tasty recipes.

Super Bowl weekend I had 5 people staying at my house. The Super Bowl was held 5 minutes from my house at Cowboys Stadium. So, The Packer fans arrived in the midst of the worst Texas weather ever. But we had a BLAST. And the Packers won! :)
(note to self - Super Bowl Blog)
So, I finally folded and put away all the laundry left over from Super Bowl weekend. Yes, it sat on my couch for a week.
I now have to clean out the closet that I shoved everything into at the last minute to "hide" it.
I am putting that off for another week or 4....

The Valentine Fairy made sure I had a surprise when I got home from work yesterday.
My dad & mom2 sent overnighted me Valentines to tell me I was actually their FAVORITE child. They also sent me this red horse. Yes, I am still 39 and my parents STILL give me stuffed animals!
Anywho... I named him AL.
In honor Alice my dad's Newfoundland they put to sleep last Monday.

She was a month shy of 15 years old which is AMAZINGLY old for Newfies.
The other 2 Newfies my parents had hit 9 and went rapidly down hill.
Didn't she have a GREAT face?
Loved that big dog. I would roll around on the floor with her. Take naps with my head on her belly. She was so gentle and sweet. I miss her like crazy. I know I will cry the next time I walk into my parents house and realize she isn't there.
But she is much happier now. She is in Dog Heaven eating ham sandwich's and running around with Lighting and Daisy my dad's other Newfies.
Well now that I am sad again over Alice I will sign off.
Have a GREAT day y'all!
I will be back again tomorrow!
XOXOXOXO
Kate
